Our History

Holrob Investments was founded in 1997 by Robert Talbott, a highly respected real estate professional with local roots and a national perspective. A graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and the University of Tennessee College of Law, Mr. Talbott built a foundation in commercial real estate through private practice before joining Horne Properties, a prominent Knoxville developer of retail centers and freestanding credit leased facilities. He ascended the ranks at Horne Properties, serving as Executive Vice President and eventually President, gaining invaluable experience in the industry.

Driven by a vision to create a team of dedicated individuals focused on developing high-quality projects that benefited both retailers and the community, Mr. Talbott established Holrob Investments. Within a short span of two years, Holrob Investments was collaborating with national retailers on projects across the United States and had firmly established itself as a leader in the commercial real estate market. Following the company's rapid growth, Holrob Commercial Realty was founded to complement Holrob Investments' services with commercial brokerage and property management expertise. The two companies, now collectively known as Holrob, have become synonymous with excellence and trustworthiness in the industry.

Through challenging market cycles, including the recession of 2008, Holrob's diversification enabled the company to navigate the tumultuous terrain while continuing to grow its portfolio. The expansion of the company's commercial brokerage and property management arms proved instrumental in weathering the storm. With the subsequent recovery of the commercial real estate market, Holrob refocused its efforts on development, reaffirming its position as a key player in the industry.
