Our Story

For over two decades, Catskill Farms has been a beacon of quality and value in the Hudson Valley real estate market. Our journey began in 2002 when Charles Petersheim, inspired by the timeless beauty of the region's architectural heritage, took a leap of faith. Leaving the bustling city behind, he set his sights on the rolling hills and winding roads of Western Sullivan County, determined to build homes that embodied the character and charm of the Catskills. He envisioned homes that were not just aesthetically pleasing but also built to last, offering families a place of haven and comfort.

His first project, a meticulously crafted new old farmhouse, took shape slowly, built with dedication and a keen eye for detail. Completed in 2002, that farmhouse still stands as a testament to our commitment to quality and enduring design. A familial testament as well, having been sold recently after 18 years to its second family. Since then, Charles' vision has expanded beyond that initial farmhouse. Catskill Farms has grown into a recognized name in the Hudson Valley, with nearly 300 homes dotting the landscapes of Ulster, Sullivan, and Dutchess Counties.
