Eligibility and Application Process

At Coppermine Run, we proudly serve as a Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) community, providing affordable housing options for those who need it most. To qualify for residential living at Coppermine Run, applicants must meet specific income and occupancy restrictions. For more information on eligibility requirements, please refer to our Eligibility page.

To apply for housing, applicants must prequalify by contacting our leasing office at 833.604.1795. Our team will verify income status and eligibility. Household income must not exceed Washington-Arlington-Alexandria, DC-VA-MD HUD Metro FMR area median income limits as published annually by HUD.

How to Apply

To begin the application process, please complete our online application form via our online leasing portal. Designate a head of household to answer questions in detail and include all additional occupants on the same application. Please note that filling out the form does not guarantee qualification for housing, nor does it guarantee a preferred apartment or move-in date. Our team will work closely with you on all available options upon completion of the application.

The application should take about 30 minutes to complete and requires a $60 non-refundable application fee per household and a $200 reservation fee once the form has been completed and reviewed by our leasing team. These fees allow us to run a credit and criminal background check to provide you with a preliminary approval or denial of your application.

Required Documents

To verify identity and residency, we require the following documents from each occupant over the age of 18:

• Birth certificate
• Driver's license
• Passport
• Social security card

For each occupant over the age of 18, we require the following documents to verify income:

• Six most recent pay stubs from all jobs
• Two years of tax returns if self-employed

For all children under the age of 18, we require the following documents to verify identity:

• Birth certificate
