Problems with Maintenance and Renovations
Several issues were reported with maintenance and renovations at Cross Creek. The property underwent a decline in quality over the years, with maintenance requests often being ignored or poorly addressed. There were instances of water line breaks, water leaks in living rooms, and a lack of ongoing pest control, leading to a roach problem.
Issues with Amenities
Residents experienced problems with amenities such as internet, cable, and the exercise room. Internet speeds were slow, and maintenance refused to address the issue. Cable connections did not work upstairs, and the exercise room had only three machines that were often broken.
Disappointing Management
Management was unhelpful and unresponsive to resident concerns. They blamed residents for issues such as overflowing trash cans instead of taking responsibility for scheduling more frequent pickups. They also failed to address maintenance requests, leading to prolonged periods without basic amenities like air conditioning.
Safety and Security Concerns
Residents reported a lack of security and frequent outside lights being out, which may have contributed to car break-ins. The pool was often green and unusable during the summer months.
Overpricing and Unaffordability
Residents felt that the rent was too high, especially considering the decline in quality of the property. The property's renovation efforts were deemed insufficient, and the prices were unreasonable.
