The Dearborn Area Board of REALTORS (DABOR) is a professional organization that represents the real estate industry in Dearborn, Michigan. Our mission is to provide a unified community of real estate professionals, supporting and educating our members to enhance their professionalism, while promoting the interests of home-ownership and private property ownership.
Our Objectives
As a leading real estate organization in the community, DABOR is committed to pursuing the following objectives:
- To expand educational opportunities for REALTOR members, affiliates, and the public through advanced designation courses, seminars, and informational workshops.
- To provide business meetings that address the issues facing REALTORS' businesses, developing programs to address those needs.
- To improve communication between members by expanding communication lines, including our website, E-News newsletter, E-commerce, and appointing liaisons for each office to convey association information.
- To promote and maintain high standards of conduct in the real estate profession as expressed in the Code of Ethics of the National Association of REALTORS.
- To employ committees and task forces to enhance program development and participation of members.
- To create programs for the benefit of the public to educate on the importance of using a REALTOR, provide accurate information on the purchase and sale of property, and further the interests of home and other real property ownership.
- To increase members' use of new technology tools and educate them on new and developing technologies for their businesses.
- To educate and develop programs to help REALTORS members on the benefits of RPAC contributions and the use of RPAC funds.
Membership Coordinator Position Description
The Membership Coordinator is responsible for administering the association's member records database through NAR E-commerce. The Administrative Assistant participates in organizing, controlling, and directing the association's programs, services, and activities, ensuring compliance with the association's bylaws, policies, and procedures.
Committees and Task Forces
DABOR has several committees and task forces that work to promote the interests of our association and the real estate industry. These committees and task forces include:
- Membership Committee: responsible for recruiting and retaining members, promoting membership benefits, and developing membership programs.
- Education Committee: responsible for developing and implementing educational programs, courses, and seminars for REALTORS and the public.
- Communications Committee: responsible for developing and implementing communication strategies to keep members informed about association news, events, and issues.
- RPAC Committee: responsible for advocating for REALTORS' interests at the local and state levels, promoting the benefits of RPAC contributions and the use of RPAC funds.
