Company History

Orchard traces its roots in Silicon Valley to the early 1970s as Orchard Properties, which developed nearly 10 million square feet of Office, R&D, and Warehouse/Industrial buildings in north San Jose and Santa Clara. After a strong cycle of development in 2000, the property services arm of the firm was acquired and rebranded as Orchard Commercial, Inc., focused on delivering the best real estate services in the industry. Over the years, we have grown to become the largest privately-owned property management firm in northern California, with a reputation for excellence, integrity, and local market knowledge.

Our Team

At Orchard Commercial, we are proud of our team of dedicated professionals, including property managers, accountants, designers, general contractors, and leasing/marketing consultants. Our regional team of experts is committed to delivering the highest levels of service and market expertise, adding value to any portfolio. We are led by Elizabeth Lewis, the Owner and Board Chair of Orchard Commercial, Inc., who has been instrumental in the growth and success of the company since its inception.

Elizabeth began her career in commercial real estate as an office leasing agent with Cornish and Carey Commercial, Palo Alto. She won the Rookie of the Year award in 1985/86 and held the exclusive listing for the tallest office building in Palo Alto at 525 University Avenue for 17 years. In 2000, she and her husband, Joe Lewis, purchased the property management firm of Orchard Properties, rebranding it to become Orchard Commercial, Inc. Over the years, she worked alongside Joe to grow the company into the largest privately-owned property management firm in Silicon Valley. Elizabeth holds the RPA designation from BOMA and a current CRE license. In 2008, she began her service as a council member of their hometown and is currently the Mayor of Atherton.

We are also proud to have Byron Renfro, the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Orchard Commercial, Inc., who joined Orchard in 2001 and is uniquely qualified to coordinate the operational integration of all of Orchard's services.
