Inaccurate Information and Unauthorized Use of Photography
Brook Walsh, a real estate agent, has been called out for his misleading and inaccurate information about the Mancelona community, as well as his unauthorized use of photography from Joanie Moore Photography. According to Joanie, Brook used her pictures without permission, removed her watermarks, and cropped them to suit his promotional needs.
Brook had previously assured Joanie that he would remove the images when he returned from vacation, but he failed to do so. Joanie discovered that Brook was still using her photos on his website. Furthermore, Brook's website contains false information about the founding of the community, local businesses, and restaurants. The information is evident of copying and pasting content from other websites.
Lack of Accuracy and Honesty
Brook's website also contains inaccurate information about Kalkaska, including claims of Lake Kalkaska and the region's history. According to Joanie, Brook's inaccuracies are "quite obvious" and include information about a Summer Carnival that has been in existence since 1880.
